♣ October 23rd: Writing Workshop @ Norman Library- Learning to write for children and young adults.
-Should be an interesting event. I'd like to see what I learn and take from this
         workshop.

♣ October 27th: Russian Folk Festival @ OKCCC.
-This should be incredibly fun and insightful. I'm hoping to learn a few things and enjoy
experiencing other people and their culture. Gotta
remember to buy more things then I actually need or probably even want.

♣ November 3rd: Residual ACT @ OKCCC.
-Studying my ass off and praying for a score to be proud of.

♣ November 30th: WPA Poster Contest @ Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art: University of Oklahoma
-$1,000...who wouldn't be curious about that?

♣ December 12th: National ACT @ OU
-Possibly a better score can be achieved if I find myself unsatisfied with the first.

A list of events I've scheduled for myself. It best to keep myself busy and productive until my birthday rolls around during the beginning of next year; then I can truly slack off.

I'm in dire need of some help!
A friend of mine is looking for some original or digital art of any final fantasy game. He wants to be able to hang it up on his wall like a canvas or something of that nature. He's looked everywhere for something good and hasn't found anything. So what I'm trying to do is find a place that offers up nice quality work so he can be happy because really he's just such a nice guy. Any help or knowledge of where I could find something would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!

I was looking at my fanfiction file and I've got about 31 things in there -wips, abandoned stories, story ideas.

Pick a number between 1 and 31 and I'll post a paragraph from that piece of fanfiction stashed in there and I'll give you the title and pairing.

A lot of the shit in my file is old so don't expect anything awesome, but I do enjoy sharing what I have with my f-list so please do request away.

Does anyone have any good recommedations for literature?
I'm in desperate need of a good book. The genre of the book doesn't matter, but if you could keep away from first-person novels then that would be awesome. I'm not a fan of them. >.>

Seriously....all I have is older books that have been read twenty different times and old skool Reader's Digest.
Thanks ahead of time guys!

  • I finished Pride and Prejudice a couple of days ago. I don't despise it as much as I did at the beginning. Granted, I'm not in love with it, but the ending bits were probably the best. When Lydia married Wickham I laughed. When they visited Longbourn though, I cringed. Can someone say painfully tacky? Anyway, it was alright, but I became bored with Elizabeth almost immediately and all the other characters were uninteresting as well. It just wasn't a book for me, but I would suggest it for others.

  • I think I might start applying for jobs again. It's just a thought, but the idea of money is tempting. For right now however, I'm going to stay focused on my school work. Chemistry is a daunting subject though. I got a little lost yesterday on the...um principal energy levels by Niels Bohr. It's so lame, but I get confused when it comes to atom structure. I don't know why because for the most part I get everything else. I obviously need to study more. D8

  • OMG! Am I the only one that keeps up with recent videogames? October and November are going to be packed with so many new and wonderful games! I'm excited! I've been looking forward to Gears of War 2 and Dead Space for a while now. They both look so amazing! And then Call of Duty: World at War is coming out soon and that, I already know, is going to kick so much ass. Silent Hill: Homecoming doesn't look so good though. I'm a bit peeved about that because I really wanted it to be awesome and mind-blowing, but it looks like its been maimed. Oh yeah and that new game Mirror's Edge looks pretty interesting. I might give it a run once it comes out in November. YAY THE END OF THIS YEAR IS GOING TO ROCK SO HARD!!!! 8DDDD

  • On a more serious note, my brother's half-brother tried to rob a liquor store and is going to be charged as an adult. I think he might end up in jail. I'm scared because I know he's a trouble-maker and crook, but when you've been around someone for so long and they're like family, it's hard to see something like this happen to them. I already know he doesn't plan on changing if he doesn't end up in jail so I'm wondering if this may be the only way. Ughh! I wish we were all little kids again and the worst we ever did was eat more sweets then we were allowed to and punk'n on each other.

So recently I've taken an interest in accents. You know, the type of accents based on where you live, your heritage and your language. I'm interested to hear real accents, not fake ones that people try hard to impersonate on Youtube. Seriously.
I mean, I want to hear the differences between my Southern American accent compared to a Bronx, Southern Californian and even a Chicago accent. And then on top of that, I want to hear European accents, German accents, Australian accents, and everything all around.

If anyone knows a good place to hear the accents and languages of native speakers, I'd be eternally grateful. And even voice posts would be amazing, but I'm not going to demand or expect it of anyone.

Anyway, to Bioshock I go.
